A browser is a software designed for browsing, displaying, and interacting with texts, images, and other media. Browsers are used in hypertext or media environments where one may jump from one link to another.

Browsers are commonly used on the Internet to view and interact with web pages. In addition to the Internet, browsers can be used in many other systems such as in WAP (link) and in help systems utilizing hypertext.
